SAINT-GOBAIN

Developed and investigated a new product innovation approach for the Performance Plastics division of Saint-Gobain, and in the process helped create multiple next-generation products  

WHY

Reduce product development cycle from two years to 6 months or less.  Get the entire team excited about innovation, from top management down to the assembly line.  

WHAT WE DID

A 3-stage, month-long program that included an intense ideation experience combined with an adapted “hackathon” concept where business aspects were evaluated in collaboration with clients and technological feasibility was evaluated in a fablab. 

RESULTS

A team of 20 engineers, Sales and Marketing staff generated over 300 ideas, investigated top 6 of them from business and technology perspectives, and identified top projects to fast-track to production.
